Hi, I have a fungus filled SMC M 200 F4. How easy was your lens to put back together? Thank you.
Hi Bill. The Pentax M 200/4 is relatively an easy lens to work with. Just make sure you document each steps. Good luck with your repair.
You did not explained how to open the front portion..How to open that portion.
Tezomoy, just use a friction tool. A rear lens cap covered in rubber glove will remove the name plate
I have managed to separate extreme rear and extreme front element.I have manged till picture 14 after that I dont know how to open the front part..If you have a skype account i can show you how much progress have I made..
It's simple after that, just simply unscrew the 2 part together.
Hi, I would like to adjust the infinity focus stop on this lens. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
I don't have the notes handy. But a general procedure with Takumar lenses are :
Assuming you already loosen the focus indicator at the lens body, there are some tiny screws that held it in place. Then you need to focus the lens at infinity, then move the indicator ring to the infinity mark. To focus the lens to infinity you could attach the lens to a camera and adjust the focus. After all lined up you could tighten the screws.
Great guide which I get use to clean oily blades on my k mount 135mm F2.5 takumar lens. Incidentally it took me ages and several attempts to remove the front element retaining ring to clean fungus off the front element.
